CongoNaBiso
UX & App Design
for a Congolese cooking platform (UX Research - Case Study)
Tools
Figma - Teams - Notion
OVERVIEW
CongoNaBiso is a mobile app designed to help young Congolese men and women learn how to cook traditional dishes. The app simplifies recipes and provides step-by-step guidance, empowering users to connect with their cultural heritage through food.
Responsibilities
I led the UX design for CongoNaBiso, focusing on user research to identify pain points, followed by creating wireframes and prototypes in Figma. I worked closely with developers to implement an intuitive design and conducted usability testing to refine the app based on user feedback.
Challenges
The main challenges included simplifying complex recipes and improving readability, particularly with contrast issues in dark and light modes. Additionally, I needed to ensure the app encouraged user engagement, leading to the addition of a Save/Rate feature.
Outcome
The redesigned app improved navigation, readability, and user engagement. Key features like better contrast and the Save/Rate button enhanced the user experience, making it easier for users to follow recipes and connect with their cultural heritage.
